Worst Covered Song Ever

Easy enough folks, in your opinion give me the one song that was covered by another artist that never should have been.

"Ring of Fire" by Social Disortion (original by Johnny Cash)

very close runner up is "Johnny B. Goode" by Judas Priest (original by Chuck Berry)

My Top 4:

(4) "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by William Shatner
I can't say it's #1, because Captain Kirk's version is so unbelievably bad, that it could be considered good.

(3) "Every Breath You Take" by Puff Daddy, or P. Diddy, or whatever his name is

(2) "Dock of the Bay" by Michael Bolton.
Word to the wise: If you have a gigantic mullet, you probably shouldn't be covering an Otis Redding song.

(1) "American Pie" by Madonna
It's so bad that I can't find words to explain its badness.

Hey Matt, I think that they actually had a #1 song with that one. Club Noveau's version, I guess wasn't all that bad, but nothing like Mr. Withers' version.

Sorry, I've got to go with Sanitation on this one...

Club Noveau's version is bad, bad, bad, bad..... A great soulful song butchered with a Casio keyboard and a drum machine. No thanks, give me Mr. Withers.

How about this one: Remember Ugly Kid Joe's version of Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle"? Unfortunately, I remember it all too well.

Are you telling me that Mr. Withers did not intend for that to become an 80's club jam???? Surprised hehe, ok...probably not but I still bumped the hell outta that song in my car in High School.
