Some rocks actually grow. Rocks called iron-manganese crusts can be found on mountains under the sea. Material is slowly deposited on them from the seawater, making these rocks about 1mm (0.04 in) bigger every one million years. The funny thing is that every month your fingernails grow about twice that much.
